I chose to adopt a vegan diet on March 21, 2011 after watching a video on chooseveg.com. I've been researching ever since, and I'm happy with the decision I've made. I've just finished reading "Skinny Bitch" by Kim Barnouin and Rory Freedman, and I think everyone should check it out. It has great info about making the transition to vegan. I just purchased Barnouin's "Skinny Bitch Ultimate Cookbook," and that's the main reason I made this blog. I'm going to share my journey through her cookbook as well as vegan info I find along the way. Enjoy:)

About veganfood: Delicious Vegan Food is a vegan food porn blog. I never post shock-tactic images or proselytize. I just post photos of delicious food that happens to be vegan, and if you like pictures of delicious food, you will probably like veganfood.
The owner of INTERMIX was at the opening of their store in Brentwood that we protested. He looked a little too comfortable for our taste, and we’d like to change that. We want to start a letter writing campaign. You can print this flyer out, copy the letter from the INTERMIX petition (http://chn.ge/rpvR0r), or come up with something yourself.

Feel free to include your favorite fur farm photo!
Just realized… One year ago today, March 21, 2011, I began a vegan diet. Happy one year to me! Haha. It has gone by quickly, but it was filled with great recipes and lots of researching and learning. Here’s to many more:)
Fur looks fabulous ONLY on the animals it belongs to. Seriously. There is nothing fashionable about wearing dead animals. Cruelty is always ugly.
Agreed! Cruelty is always ugly! This picture makes me so sad… the cat looks so frightened… Haven’t people heard of faux fur?!!? I was just at Macy’s and saw several faux fur pieces. Looks just as good, feels just as soft, less expensive, and cruelty-free. #stopwearingcarcasses
I’ve posted this meal before, but it came out better this time. I even got the grill marks! Portabello mushroom “steak” with salad and mashed (baked) potato. Yummy! Thank you, Monica for my bday recipe book with this great recipe!
One of the most VILE and DISGUSTING “fashion” trends this season are foxtails / fur tails. Yes, there are fake fur tails, but the majority of fur tails are made of real fur.
That’s right, animals lost their lives for a keychain that you can hang off your purse or clip to your belt. One of the biggest retailers for foxtails is Dolls Kill, who’s name seems oddly appropriate given the amount of animals that died for their product.
Please voice your concerns to Dolls Kill. You can reach them on Facebook, Twitter, or contact them directly. Let them know you will NOT be shopping with them until they STOP selling these horrible carcass accessories.
For FOX SAKE let’s ban Foxtails from fashion.
Poor babies. :( Look at that terrified little face.
